We remember a day of tragedy

Remembering the terrorist attacks that occurred on September 11, 2001 is never a memory that we enjoy reliving.

Looking back on what happened that sunny morning, we continue to ask ourselves what we can do to help the families of the victims of 9/11. You can visit the 9/11 memorial website at 911memorial.org, see photos and learn more information about the one World Trade Center that has been built in remembrance of the twin towers.

No one could have planned for an event such as this to happen, and this event certainly stunned the nation. It seems as though our country unites in times of crisis and we don’t understand why.

A question we raise is why can’t America stand united at all times?

We tend to think back to the first ethics we learned as kindergarteners or before, if we don’t have anything nice to say, we shouldn’t say anything at all.

As we grow up, we tend to lose sight of how to treat others, the way we want to be treated. We can help instill how to be kind and genuine to the younger generations throughout their lifetime.

America needs to remember how to have a conversation with one another and communicate in the correct manner without judgement.
