The city of Whitewater welcomed a new Kwik Trip store to the community Dec 9. 2021 at 305 Elkhorn Rd. and will be celebrating the opening of another Kwik Trip store at 837 S. Janesville St.

These two highly anticipated convenience stores are the newest additions to the 700+ locations operated by the family-owned and operated company.  

Both locations will be 9000 sq. ft with Generation 3 store layouts. They feature a car wash, side diesel canopy, free air pumps, no fee ATM’s, and a grocery market with a variety of fresh, daily delivered foods. Stores will also include an in-house bakery and kitchen for hot food and take-home meals. 

Since the Elkhorn Road location opened in December, citizens have been enjoying all of the new features, foods, and welcoming atmosphere the new store has to offer.

“Business is doing great!” said Elkhorn Road store leader Ashley Richmond. “We get about 1,300 guests a day.” 

Just like at the Elkhorn Road location, there is much anticipation for the Janesville Street store set to open Jan 20.

“People ask about it everyday,” Richmond said.

Not only are these stores expected bring additional service to its patrons, but also bring extra revenue and job opportunities to the Whitewater community as well. 

“Their investment into our city will have a positive economic impact,” said Whitewater Economic Development Director Cathy Anderson.

Both locations are still accepting applications online. The company is looking for hard-working and people-centric individuals who are interested in part-time, fulltime and leadership roles. Applicants are encouraged to apply online at jobs.kwiktrip.com. Searching for the key word “Whitewater” will display the available job descriptions and hiring events. Additional information can be found about the benefits that Kwik Trip shares with its co workers such as sick and vacation pay, 401k, health and dental plans, as well as a 40% profit sharing plan that provides coworkers with a yearly bonus check. 

“I want to thank the city of Whitewater for allowing us to be a part of their community,” said Janesville Street store employee Jake Radonski. “By doing this it allows us to create jobs and provide an increase in revenue for the city. Here at Kwik Trip, we pride ourselves on our customer service. This can be shown by living the Kwik Trip mission statement: Serve our customers and community more effectively than anyone else by treating our customers, co-workers and suppliers as we personally would like to be treated, and to make a difference in someone’s life. I hope that we can have a strong relationship so that we can better serve this city in the years to come.”

An open house and ribbon cutting event for the Janesville Street location will be taking place Jan. 26 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. The ribbon cutting is scheduled for 11 a.m. that day.
