Advertising Representatives: 

Job description – • Maintain regular office hours. • Create and facilitate an open and inviting atmosphere. • Attend weekly meeting • Contact advertising accounts weekly. • Design advertisements weekly for their respective accounts. • Look for new accounts.

Lifestyle editor:

Job description – • Edit and lay out pages. • Generate story ideas for staff of reporters each week; this should include introductory phone calls to administrators and other key campus personnel to help determine relevant stories. • Place story ideas on a detailed budget each week. • Assign story ideas to staff of reporters at weekly meetings. • Consult with reporters about stories and encourage them to come up with story ideas of their own. • Make requests for photographs and graphics as needed. • Supervise and evaluate reporters using the evaluation forms provided by management. • Train assistant/s on all tasks required of the head editor. • Write articles as needed. • Be available as a resource for all staff. • Attend regularly scheduled staff meetings. • Maintain regular office hours. • Act as a liaison between the newspaper and the UW-Whitewater community. • Communicate often with the editor in chief and managing editor to keep them updated on progress and any potential problems or concerns. • Create and facilitate an open and inviting atmosphere.

Graphics Editor:

Job description – • Create graphics as requested by the section editors. • Create house ads as requested by the editor in chief. • Create flags for special edition newspapers as requested by the editor in chief. • Suggest alternative ideas to graphics requested by the section editors, helping to depict articles visually by thinking creatively. • Size graphics for section editors. • Keep a well-organized graphics archive on the computer server and back-up hard drive. • Maintain regular office hours. • Create and facilitate an open and inviting atmosphere. • Attend regularly scheduled staff meetings.

Copy Editors:

Job description – Proofread all copy according to the Associated Press Stylebook and the Royal Purple stylebook. • Question and help resolve problems with story content and accuracy. • Make article revisions when necessary and fact check all names and statistics in articles. • Offer suggestions for headlines. • Maintain regular office hours. • Create and facilitate an open and inviting atmosphere. • Attend regularly scheduled staff meetings.
