I honestly can’t believe that I’m sitting here writing this trying to say goodbye to the people I’ve met here and marking an end to my journey here at UW-Whitewater. Like every aspect in life, this has been a beautiful learning experience with its share of ups and downs filled with memories of people that have impacted my life and whose life I might’ve made a small difference in.
As the end nears, I’d like to thank some people without whom I wouldn’t be here today.
To God: Thank you for every person, every opportunity, and every success in my life.
To my family: A simple thank you isn’t enough to express what I feel for you. Thank you for being my foundation and my support system. Mamma & Pappa, thank you for the life you’ve given me! I cherish every single moment in my life with you. I owe everything that I am today to you. I love you.
To Sameer: You’re the best brother a sister could ever ask for. You always manage to put a smile on my face, make me be a kid again, and lessen my stress. Bhai, you know how much I love you, and I could never imagine my life without you.
To Maria: My LIT mom! Thank you! If you wouldn’t have believed in me and pushed me to trust myself and to take risks I would’ve NEVER had the involvement experiences I’ve had at UW-W. Love you!
To my Triplex RA staff of the past two years – you’ve only helped me grow as a person, and working with all of you has been an incredible opportunity. I’ve met some of my closest friends through this opportunity here at UW-W.
Kim Clarksen & Jan Bilgen – thank you for letting me be a part of the Homecoming Steering Committee for the past two years—it’s been nothing short of an adventure. It gave me a chance to know you and learn so much from you—the work that you two do is tremendously commendable, and I hope to achieve a little of what you have.
To the Royal Purple: It has been an absolute pleasure and a great learning experience working with everyone here. Thank you for every thing you guys do. To Lynn, you’re a remarkable person, and I’m so glad to have had a chance to get to know you. I wouldn’t have been successful in this position if I didn’t have your support. I look forward to our friendship growing over the years!
To the lifelong friends I’ve made at UW-W – Jouri Jackson, Kristie Pedersen, Jess Kearney, Kai Instefjord, Monica Digman, Jess Loizzo, Janelle Hineman, Nicole Pumarada, Kelsie Cullen, Kelsey Fitzsimons, Cori Herreid, Mykayla McDonald, Jeni Gruber, Jay Bazylewicz, Ann and Annie & Lynn Marolt… I love you all and thank for the wonderful memories, can’t wait for some more!
Finally, thank you UW-Whitewater and everyone else that I might’ve missed. I’m sad to see my time here come to an end, but I’m excited to see what the future holds. Once a Warhawk, always a Warhawk.
