Students often have more than one job; Kenneth “Xclusive” Paryo, has turned what would normally be many jobs into one.
Paryo said he found his love for dance when he was 13, and while he has fun with it, he didn’t want to dance on stage for an hour.
“I could not dance for an hour, so I had to write material to become a comedian I have been both for three years,” Paryo said.
Throughout his career, Paryo has traveled and performed at a total of seven venues and most of them are universities where he performs for a younger audience.
Paryo said his favorite part of his career is being on the road and traveling to places he otherwise would not have gone to if he didn’t have the career he did.
“My parents supported my decision of going on the road and pursuing the career that I have now,” Paryo said.
Paryo said his dancing is animated and unreal. It accompanies his comedy skits to make the show livelier.
SEAL intern Lea Staedtler said his dance style and comedy mix is unique compared to other comedians.
“He is different from other comedians since he is a dancer and other comedians just stand and do their thing,” Staedtler said.
Paryo has previously been seen on “America’s Got Talent” and “So You Think You Can Dance,” He also was an opening act for Trey Songz, the NBA and has generated a total of 500,000 Youtube views during his career.
“He’s a bigger comedic name than the other acts who have performed at UW-Whitewater previously,” Staedlter said.
Xclusive will perform at UW-Whitewater at 8 p.m., February 20,in the UC Down Under.
