UW-Whitewater offers a variety of programs and activities for students from time to time. This week senior Chelsea Baganz is organizing the CoBE Scavenger Hunt.
Baganz is a marketing major and also a social media manager for College of Business and Economics (CoBE).
She said she decided to organize this activity to engage students with the social media.
For the CoBE Scavenger Hunt, Baganz said there will be three clues posted each day from Monday thru Thursday. The clues will be posted on Twitter. Whoever finds the clues will find the token and can bring it to the dean’s office to claim their prize.
“The clues will be posted on Twitter, and then they will take them somewhere in Hyland Hall,” Baganz said. “I thought it would be a fun way to integrate scial media into our scavenger hunt.”
Baganz’ supervisor Jolene Check, the marketing specialist for COBE, said Baganz organized the whole event and is doing a nice job with it.
This is also the first time an event like this has been arranged, Check said.
“This will be a fun activity that will acquaint students better with Hyland Hall,” Check said. “They will also win a CoBE giveaway if they find the item during the scavenger hunt.”
Baganz hopes students will participate in this activity and get themselves involved in social media more.
“Hopefully students are very excited to run around the Hyland Hall and be the person to find these clues,” Baganz said. “This is what I am looking forward to–gaining a social media following and create excitement.”
