Rep. Andy Jorgensen (D-Milton) said he finds going to non-traditional listening session locations around his constituent area gives him a “new perspective” from people who normally wouldn’t think to contact him.
The UW-Whitewater University Center will become one of those non-traditional places at 6 p.m. on Thurs., Dec. 17.
Jorgensen’s other listening session location in December will be in Milton at 4 p.m. on Dec. 14 at the Milton Junction Laundry. The UW-W session will be the 38th hearing session held by Jorgensen in 2015.
Jorgensen said in a news release from last week that it’s “exciting” to connect with people he finds at previous non-traditional locations such as grocery stores, post offices and busses.
“No matter who you are, young or old, rich or poor, your thoughts and ideas have real value, and I appreciate hearing them,” Jorgensen said in the press release.
Jorgensen will be handing out copies of the most recent Wisconsin Blue Book at the listening session at no direct cost to those who attend.
If you cannot make the two remaining listening sessions, Jorgensen invites constituents to contact him at (888) 534-0043 or through email at [email protected].
