Assembly candidate earns support with kindness
October 19, 2016
I’ve known Allison Hetz for around a year now. In that year, I have grown to know that she is one of the most generous people I have ever met. But one, recent, instance of her generosity has stuck out to me as one of the greatest acts of kindness I’ve seen her do, which are many. We were grocery shopping late one night and as we were checking out, she noticed a family who could not pay for their diapers for their daughter or food that they needed for that week Allison looked at this family and walked right over and paid for this family’s goods. It was not that much in total, but knowing she’s a college student and I myself a recent graduate, I know Allison does not have much to give. When I asked her, “That was really great of you to do, but why did you do it? You’re on a limited budget yourself.” She responded with, “I can’t let a baby go without diapers or food.” Allison has a big heart and wants to help those in need even when she herself has little to give. As a friend, Allison is great. As a citizen, Allison is even better. She is the perfect candidate because she thinks with her brain but allows her heart to guide her to the right choice. Helping people in need is her focus on life. This is why I will be voting for her for the 43rd Assembly District.
