The bomb threat that closed the Williams Center for more than a day last week ended up being a false alarm.
Chief of Police Matt Kiederlen said the trained explosives detection canine found no devices and no damage was done to the building.
Kiederlen said there is still an active investigation involved.
“We’ve been given information that moves us in the direction of a couple different possibilities,” Kiederlen said.
People were evacuated and the building was shut down April 19 and closed all day April 20 for precautionary reasons. Kiederlen stated there had been a lot that has happened around that time of year, including the Columbine High School shooting in Colorado, the Waco Branch Dividian and the Oklahoma City bombing.
Kiederlen said if people see suspicious things, contact University Police Services.
