What do you think of the Warhawks Return Plan?
Devin Rose, Freshman- “I think Whitewater reopening is a good decision. As long as everyone does their part to prevent the spread of coronavirus I believe it will be a good school year. After graduating high school last year I look forward to moving on and starting my college journey.”
Holly Wilson, Associate Professor of Creative Writing – “Do I think we’ll look back six months from now and wonder what we were thinking? Yes, probably. We’re in a ‘choose your own adventure’ doom sequence where every choice is the wrong one. That sounds gloomy, I know, but all my rah-rah is on backorder until November 3rd.”
Mary Beth Migliore, mother of current UWW student- “I think it’s great that my daughter is able to continue her education in person rather than at home, but I’m still filled with much anxiety. The university hasn’t communicated with me as a parent on what to expect for the school year. This makes it hard to predict when and if she can come back home to visit, and I obviously don’t want her getting sick. I know this is something she wants, so I’m hoping every student is smart about their after-class activities and chooses not to gather in large groups for the sake of being social. Now is the time to focus on school and not parties.”
