20-year sentence issued for Treyton Kilar accident

The East Troy man who was found guilty in the alcohol-related car accident that killed 6-year-old Treyton Kilar will spend the next 20 years behind bars.

Scott Dragotta, 44, crashed into the car of Mike Kilar, Treyton’s father, on Sept. 1, 2010, killing Treyton and injuring Mike and two of Treyton’s sisters. The accident happened at the intersection of Highway 20 and County N  near East Troy.

Dragotta’s blood-alcohol content was 0.18 at the time of the accident. Along with the 20 year sentence issued by Judge  David Ready, Dragotta will also have to serve 10 years of extended supervision.
