Bad Bunny: Trending Latino artist

Alyssa Rupiper, Assistant Lifestyle Editor

The top influencer in Latin music, Bad Bunny, has been awarded three consecutive wins for the most popular Latin Artist by Billboard Music Awards. Over the last six years, he has released eight albums and two EPs. Five of the albums have won numerous awards from the likes of MTV, American Music Awards, Grammy, and more. His music is categorized as mainly trap, and it is very catchy.

Bad Bunny, a 28-year-old Puerto Rican rapper, made a name for himself back in 2016 when he released his song “Diles”. This song would jumpstart his career and send him down the path of a magnitude of successes. A huge part of his achievements is his commitment to making Spanish records, albums, and songs. There has been criticism that Bad Bunny has constricted his audience, although he proved that conclusion false in 2018 when he collaborated with Cardi B and J Balvin in “I Like It”, which ascended to the top of the charts in its release.

Bad Bunny has countless nominations and wins in music including Top Latin Artist, Top Latin Album, Songwriter of the Year, and much more. However, his accomplishments do not end with his catchy tunes. He has also been successful in the film industry. In 2021, he appeared in F9 (the ninth installment of the Fast and Furious Saga) and this year he has acted in Bullet Train, as the antagonist The Wolf. His acting career does not stop there. He also plays a role in the television series Narcos.

Bad Bunny is an amazing artist with multiple awards and personal accomplishments that he, and everyone else, should be insanely proud of. He succeeded in reaching out across cultures and bringing people together through his talented music skills and hilarious skits. He has dominated the charts for three years now and shows no signs of slowing down. He is certainly an artist to look out for in next year’s awards. You can listen to his music on Spotify, YouTube, and Amazon Music.
