Q: What are some of your goals for the season?
A: My goals and expectations for myself heading into the season are to score points at both indoor and outdoor conferences and qualify for the national meet.
Q: How has the team changed over your two seasons?
A: The team culture has shifted a lot since I was here as a freshman, every year our teams get more competitive on the national scale, and are consistently top 10 in the country, so I am excited to see what we will be able to accomplish this year.
Q: How do you help motivate the team?
A: To help push and motivate my teammates I try to have a good attitude when it comes to working out, and make a point to be positive and thankful that we have the opportunity to compete.
Q: How do you recognize your teams and teammates’ successes?
A: To recognize team and individual success we set team goals each week going into meets, as well as nominate athletes for an Athlete of the Week award, which just goes to someone that we feel had an outstanding performance in the previous meet.
Q: How do you help bring the team together?
A: To help our team bond we have a weekly meeting to recap the week with all of the guys, this helps us get everyone onto the same page as well as get familiar with the names and faces of people on the team.
The track and field team will continue their season after a hot start winning the Karl Schneider Invitational. Their next competition in the Williams Center will be Saturday, Feb. 10, when the Warhawks host the Midwest Elite competition.
