“We’re looking forward to a great semester ahead, especially coming off of a great fall 2024 semester that saw our programs surpass participation projections, Warhawks were eager to get involved in the various programs and services we had to offer, and we’re incredibly appreciative of the various levels of support we receive,” said Intramural and Club Sports Program Manager and Assistant Director Matt Schneider. “Spring 2025 intends to be no different, and we hope the campus community is looking forward to interacting with one another with the long winter break in the rearview mirror. UW-Whitewater has traditionally been a campus with strong recreational and competitive connections and Intramural & Club Sports programs are ready to welcome everyone back with an exciting variety of clubs and activities to enjoy.”
Following intramural sports are UW-W club sports, which offer over 30 club sports teams with practices starting as soon as the first day of spring classes. New clubs reporting to UW-W club sports include billiards and the Whitewater cornhole clubs.
Club sports bring the same amount of enjoyment as intramural sports to UW-W.
“Joining the UW-W Women’s Rugby Club was one of my best highlights from my first semester. The people on the team are so fun, patient and funny, we would always get a good laugh at practice. Game days were always fun and I love being on the field with the team. I know they’re there for me for every tackle, pass, or ruck that is being done,” UW-W freshman international business major with a French minor Margarita Gutierrez stated. “Thanks to rugby, not only do I have amazing teammates but friends. Joining rugby was one of the best decisions I have made and I recommend anyone to join.”
