According to an email sent out to the campus community this morning, the city of Whitewater Police Department received a report of a non-acquaintance sexual assault of a woman at around midnight April 19.

The assault allegedly occurred on the 1300 block of West Main Street.

According to a WPD press release, the suspect is described as a white male, approximately 6-feet tall with a slight belly and unknown weight. The suspect was wearing a dark, hooded sweatshirt pulled tight around his face and had a distinct bump on his nose.

The suspect displayed a knife and ordered the victim to the ground before fleeing the scene on foot in an unknown direction, the release said.
