Led by a number of conference champion performances, the men’s and women’s track and field teams posted competitive scores in the nation’s top NCAA Division-III conference. For the men, junior Marcus Smith and freshman Mike Judd earned individual conference titles in the 110-meter hurdles and triple jump, respectively.

Softball team motivated by last season

The UW-Whitewater softball team will begin its season this week in Florida, where the team will play 12 games in six days. The ’Hawks’ junior catcher Emily Epifanio said the team’s spring break trip to Clermont, Fla., is really more of a business trip than a vacation. The team has double headers on six out of the seven days.

’Hawks to host WIAC tournament

The wrestling team crushed UW-Platteville 42-6 on senior night Thursday, which was the last meet on the Warhawks’ schedule before the WIAC Conference Tournament. The ’Hawks will take to the mat Sunday to attempt to qualify for nationals by winning the WIAC Tournament. UW-Whitewater will be hosting the tournament at 9 a.m. Sunday.

Men’s tennis sweeps Invite, team goes 3-0
