The UW-Whitewater women’s basketball team fell short against UW-Stevens Point on Saturday, losing 80-61 in the WIAC Championship game.

After a rough loss at UW-Stevens Point on Wednesday that ended an eight-game win streak, the women’s basketball team rebounded with a win at home against UW-Eau Claire.

The women’s basketball team extended its winning streak to eight with victories over UW-Oshkosh and UW-Stout this past Wednesday and Saturday.

After the first 10 games of the season, the Warhawk women’s basketball team stood at 6-4 overall and were coming off a three-game losing streak. Conference play began and the `Hawks had a couple weeks over winter break to figure out they needed to improve. They played six games since Christmas and have won them all, including five double-digit wins.
