Big Man on Campus competition takes place

April 20, 2011
The Big Man on Campus competition is sort of a male-style beauty pageant. Four contestants will partake in business wear, an interview portion, community service awareness and express yourself wear. They are then judged by four judges: Ron Buchholz, Katie Tomlinson, Sara Dood, and the audience will have the final vote. The winner will recieve a $500 scholarship.

Radio station hosts week-long fundraiser

For 91.7 The Edge and radio stations like it, fundraisers are crucial to the station’s survival. The radio station’s biggest annual fundraiser, the Fund Drive, starts tomorrow and ends April 21. “It’s really crucial to the livelihood of the station,” sophomore music director Justin Cunningham said. “It helps us stay with the times and basically stay afloat.”
