The men’s soccer team saw its 11th NCAA Tournament run come to an end last Thursday night.
The Warhawks fell on the road 2-1 to Washington University of St. Louis to finish their season 12-8, which ties a season-high for losses.
After starting the season 0-4, the Warhawks’ two seniors, midfielder Ryan Boyd and forward Kevin Kron, stepped up to lead the team to six consecutive wins. The men will look to make it seven straight tonight at 7 p.m. against North Park University on the Vikings’ field.
After a slow start to the season, the Whitewater men’s soccer team defeated Ripon College 3-1 Sunday in a matinee game on family day and moved to 2-4 on the season.
Last season, the men’s soccer team finished its season 14-2-4 after bowing out of the NCAA tournament in the round of 16. The team is also the two-time, defending WIAC champions, and the National Soccer Coaches of America Association preseason poll had the team ranked No. 13 in the nation.
