On Saturday Oct. 29 the Alumni meet was held at the Williams Center pool, giving former swimmers an opportunity to come back and get into a few races. It was a chance for current and former swimmers to get into the pool and race against one another.

Life can be so fragile. Most often, though, you don’t realize it until something fatal happens to you or a loved one. All you can do is live your life to the fullest and enjoy what’s right in front of you. Tyler Slak was doing that. But it was all taken away from him last year. Cancer took that from him.

Tyler Slak was called one of the softball team’s biggest fans last year. “He came to all of our home games,” senior leftfielder Lauren Cruz said. Now, Cruz and the Warhawks are giving Slak’s family a helping hand.
