The UW-Whitewater home page got a fresher look as a result of design changes that took over a year to hash out. The website also got a new content management system, which allows Marketing and Media to easily update information.

Bomb threat closes Williams Center through Thursday morning

A bomb threat was found in a Williams Center bathroom Tuesday morning, causing University Police services to evacuate and shut down the building for precautionary reasons. University Police Chief Matt Kiederlen said the threat was found by a citizen who reported it to staff.

iCIT department strives to make most of e-waste

With state officials planning extensive cuts and policy changes in regards to recycling programs statewide, it’s important UW-Whitewater stands strong as a leader in sustainability. Gov. Scott Walker’s 2011-2013 budget proposal would remove a mandate requiring local communities to run recycling programs and eliminate all recycling grants to local governments next year.

UW-W recognizes Earth Day with week of events

UW-Whitewater will recognize Earth Day with a week’s worth of events beginning next Tuesday. This year, Earth Day falls on April 22, which is also Good Friday. Due to the mandatory State of Wisconsin furlough day, the campus will be closed. Events will take place April 19-21.
