Local family hopeful to receive new home

The UW-Whitewater chapter of Habitat for Humanity was selected to receive a $5,000 grant from State Farm Insurance, beating out 75 other chapters nationwide. To receive the grant, Habitat for Humanity must fundraise and collect $5,000, which State Farm Insurance will then match for a total of $10,000. The money must be raised by May 13.

Scott Walker’s budget-repair bill and proposed biennial budget.

Carlson remodeling an ‘important change’ for university

Some know Carlson Hall as the campus building that has sat empty for almost two years since the inception of Hyland Hall. However, Gov. Scott Walker’s 2011-2013 capital budget proposal calls for a $17 million makeover to the former home of the College of Business and Economics, and a total of $35 million for other campus projects.
