UW-Whitewater is currently working on creating a free-of-charge second university identification card for students to be used for voting purposes only.
The new voter photo ID law will require electors to show an acceptable form of photo identification. One of the other major impacts the new law has on students is the residency requirement having changed from 10 days to 28 consecutive days.
In the wake of Gov. Scott Walker’s budget proposal, employers around Whitewater are readying for challenging economic times and changes in their staffing and services.
