Emily Lepkowski, News Editor

Two sexual assaults were reported on UW-Whitewater’s campus this semester. Only one ended up in the email inboxes of students.

The most recent, taking place at 7:45 p.m. Oct. 2, involved a student who reported being sexually and physically assaulted by two men.

One man was reported to be white, while the other man was identified as black. Both men reportedly smelled of marijuana during the assault.

The investigation is ongoing.

According to the Daily Crime, Fire and Activity Log, another  sexual assault was reported on Sept. 18 near Arey Hall, but there was no email announcement sent out via email. The Royal Purple requested the incident report from the Sept. 18 incident, but were denied due to  the case being under investigation.

Please see future editions of the Royal Purple for more information.

The Daily Crime, Fire and Activity Log can be found at http://www.uww.edu/adminaffairs/police/daily-activity-log.

Students who need to report incidences of sexual assault, dating violence and harassment are encouraged to go to the Dean of Students or Police Services.

If a student would like to speak with someone who is not required to disclose their name, they can go to University Health and Counseling Services or the Winther Counseling Lab.campus-crime
