Junior Mark Wegener has been missing since 1 a.m. early Saturday morning after attending a party on Boone Court and Center Street, a friend close to the situation said.

Wegener, a Merton native, was last heard from at 1:42 a.m. Saturday morning. It’s uncharacteristic of Wegener to go a long time without anyone seeing or contacting him, the friend added.

The friend said police have no leads at this time but suspect no foul play.

Wegener was last seen wearing a green T-shirt, plaid shorts and Birkenstock sandals. Wegener is five feet nine inches tall and weighs around 240 pounds.

A search party will be held tomorrow at 9 a.m. at 136 S. Cottage St. in Whitewater. If anybody has seen or heard from Mark since his disappearance, call the Whitewater Police Department at 262-473-0555 or the Crime Stoppers Tip line at 262-723-2677.
