It was a warm fall day for the last Cars & Coffee event of the season. People gathered at the Lake Homes Info property to enjoy classic and modern cars while socializing with other members of the community. The Sweet Spot and Nordskov Coffee were in attendance selling bakery items and coffee beverages.
Vicki Hagstotz with her partner, attended the event in their stylish 1990s Cadillac Brougham. They bought the car in the late 2000s around 2007, they say.
“I found the car on Craigslist and we met the man selling it in town. We gave him cash and that was it,” she says. “I find the cars. He does his checklist, makes sure it’s good and does any maintenance it needs. It’s something we bond over and we have a lot of fun.”
The event is sponsored by the Whitewater Chamber of Commerce and Discover Whitewater. The event is organized by Lake Homes Info owner Robert Sivek.
“It’s great to see people in the community come out. More people are bringing their dogs and it’s great to see all of them interact and get along as well,” says Sivek.
