Warhawk Dining has met the challenge of serving consistent quality and value to a larger student population and helped to bring the University community together through food and shared experiences. Our all-you-care-to-eat dining hall experiences – The Eatery At Esker, The Perch At Drumlin, and Ike Schaffer Common’s breakfast – are best suited to absorb an increased volume of diners while providing the best value and selection in dining on campus.
We consulted on how to level up dining on campus to meet the needs of a growing student population with University leadership. New this year, weekend all-you-care-to-eat dining is offered at Esker’s Eatery for both Fall and Spring Semesters. There will be no switch between dining halls between semesters as in previous years. This change will provide consistency for our guests throughout the academic year and allow us to focus on continuous improvement in our operations.
In the dining halls, new stations and features continue to evolve. During Esker’s weekend lunches, The Flame station has featured tailgate-inspired foods on Saturdays and brunch foods on Sundays.
At The Perch At Drumlin, we introduced the new Performance Circle station, which features menus developed by nutritionists, sports dietitians, and chef experts to sustain athletes through intense competition. All guests are welcome to fuel their performance with these menus, which offer guidelines for complete nutrition at different levels of physical intensity.
We made reusable to-go containers the standard option at Ike Schaffer Common’s retail lunch, which has greatly reduced the trash produced in the University Center each day. Starting in Spring semester, single-use plastic disposable containers will be available for a 50-cent charge at Ike Schaffer’s retail lunch. Our reusable to-go containers, or the new option of a plate, will be available at no charge.
We updated our website before the start of Fall semester for a mobile responsive and more intuitive user experience. Students and staff can find information about dining hours, daily menus, and locations more easily on the site, whether accessing the site on a desktop or mobile device.
Our website includes detailed information about getting in touch with Warhawk Dining, including our Text2Chat program, whereby students can send a text directly to our management team. This option is ideal for in-the-moment questions or concerns that require immediate attention. Each dining hall has a dedicated number, and a general line is available for locations other than the dining halls.
Other resources, including a Foodie Feedback contact form, are available on our website, dineoncampus.com/uww. Warhawk Dining can also be reached at [email protected].
