Due to inclement weather, the first two games of a four-game weekend series against UW-La Crosse were moved to Whitewater. D3baseball.com’s No. 8 ranked Warhawk baseball team swept the April 3 doubleheader, winning game one 5-1 and game two 6-1.

The first game of the doubleheader started as a low-scoring affair, with UW-Whitewater leading 1-0 after the fifth inning. UW-W was able to break it open in the sixth inning with a string of RBI knocks. Junior catcher Aaron Holland started the scoring with an RBI double, junior outfielder Dominik McVay followed that up with a two-RBI single and sophomore infielder Jackson Spring capped off the four-run inning with a sacrifice fly.
Junior pitcher Sam Stueber continues his strong start to the 2026 campaign. He picked up the win, tossing seven scoreless innings while striking out four batters and recording a 0.60 WHIP. Junior Benjy Tucker closed out the final two frames, allowing three baserunners and an earned run.
Game two of the doubleheader mostly followed the same scoring trajectory as game one. The Warhawks led 1-0 after the fifth inning, had a four-run sixth inning, but added an insurance run in the seventh inning this time. Holland stayed hot at the plate, going 3-for-5 with two doubles and four RBIs. Spring went 4-for-4 with a walk, and sophomore utility player Evan Olson went 2-for-5 with an RBI. Junior pitcher Gradin Taschner tossed five scoreless innings, recorded five strikeouts and had a 0.60 WHIP. Junior Jackson Koenig and freshman Franklin Kirchner combined to allow just one run over the final four frames.
The Warhawks are back in action April 6, to play the final two games of the four-game series against the Eagles.
