As names were called for the Lucy Baker Involvement award, students rose to receive their pins and pose for three group photos while members of the audience celebrated their recognition. This sequence repeated throughout the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Involvement Award Ceremony.
Hosted by Student Activities & Involvement (SAI), the award ceremony presented 15 different awards ranging from learning and academic awards to integrity awards, dedicated to recognizing student and organization efforts throughout the university.
“I think it’s just a lovely event for the campus to recognize student leaders and students who are maybe not seen as leaders, but doing a lot of stuff behind the scenes. I also like that it recognizes the entire organizations that the students represent,” Interim Provost Robin Fox said.
