Walking in a weiner wonderland

Justin Nothem is an optimistic entrepreneur and currently has a business in the works, which he created from the ground up.

Whitewater Wieners, a hot dog stand, is currently going through the health inspection process and will soon hit the streets of Whitewater.

“I am really looking forward to getting out there and starting up,” Nothem said. “It has been a long road starting a business up from scratch, but I have had a lot of inspiration and encouragement from friends and family.”

Two notable people have inspired Nothem in his business endeavors.

“I look up to my entrepreneurship adviser, William Dougan,” Nothem said. “He makes his students a priority in providing them with the necessary resources to succeed. I also look up to my big
brother, Johnathan. He took a passion of his and started a business from nothing.”

Nothem and a few friends came up with the idea last spring while trying to find something besides pizza to eat downtown. After bringing his idea to the Whitewater City Council this past summer,
the council approved transient vendors to sell food downtown.

Students can look forward to enjoying a hot wiener while roaming around downtown soon.

“Anybody can be successful if you put your heart into it,” Nothem said. “Those who want to succeed will find a way.”
