UW-W Rock County election results

UW-W Rock County election results

After two days of voting, the Rock County campus has concluded its elections for student government for the upcoming academic year of 2024-2025.

Rock County’s Student Government Association (SGA) President results:

Aster Cross won the vote for president with 85.29% of the total votes of the presidential race. While runner-up Bat Lynes only had 10.81% of the vote.

No candidates ran for office of vice-president of Rock County SGA. Seven write-in votes were counted, SGA is determining their eligibility and intent to accept the position of vice-president.

Senatorial results:

Incumbent Senator Trenton Lambert was re-elected with 72.97% of the total vote. Five other students received write-in votes, they have been notified of their votes and SGA is

waiting back on if they want to accept their positions of senator.

Cross’s goal for his presidency is for better accessibility of the campus facilities in Rock County. Cross, who was part of SGA in Whitewater last semester, ran for president after seeing all the accessibility concerns at the Rock County campus. Cross’s main goals are to fix issues in campus parking, elevators, and other places where accessibility is difficult to come by.

“I really want to be the person that can go find stuff out, and fix stuff,” Cross said.
