Presidential elections for Whitewater Student Government will be held online from March 20-21. In previous years, WSG elections were held using paper ballots that were available in the University Center.

Optional ID cards for student voters

With the new Voter Photo ID Law that passed by Wisconsin Legislature in May, one form of verification would be an acceptable student ID card. Currently, UW-W student ID cards do not qualify, so the university will make ID cards only for those who request them at no cost to the student.

Johnson, Jensen ease through election

Sophomore Patrick Johnson, a music major and advertising minor from Delavan, was elected president with freshman John Jensen, a political science major and history minor from Burlington, as his vice president. Johnson and Jensen shared their excitement by talking with the Royal Purple.

Student government presidential elections happening this week
