Last year’s men’s track and field team ended up finishing third in the WIAC for both indoor and outdoor. Although the Warhawks may not have finished first, the team ended the year behind nationally top ten ranked teams, UW-La Crosse and UW-Oshkosh.

Having come to UW-Whitewater to play football in fall 2008, Bee hadn’t run for a track and field team since his sophomore year in high school. Title hopes strong for Warhawks

Both the men’s and women’s track and field teams will try to capture each program’s very first WIAC Championship Feb. 25-26 at UW-River Falls. “It would be an incredible feeling [to win],” head women’s coach Josh Ireland said. “It’s something that has never happened before in the existence of our program, it would be huge.”
