I feel it’s important to serve for more than just defending your country. It also shows the sacrifice and willingness to put everyone else before your own well-being – complete strangers even. Veteran’s Day shows the love and respect for all of those that had that same willingness to sacrifice for the greater good, and showing that respect means so much to those who served.
